A recent wedding ceremony took the idea of non-traditional to new heights.

High-wire walkers Mustafa Danguir and Anna Lebedeva of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baileysaid “I do” 30-feet in the air on a high wire no wider than a human thumb July 26. The occasion is the first-ever U.S. high wire wedding, according to the circus. The pair have been performing with Ringling Bros. for six years.

They tied the knot inside Houston’s NRG stadium, where 100 performers witnessed the wedding. The processional included performers and animals. The bride arrived on a horse and the groom arrived on a camel. Four of the twelve bridesmaids performed aerialist moves and three of the six groomsmen stood on the wire. Ringmaster David Shipman, who was ordained specifically for the occasion, officiated.

Perhaps the greatest wedding on earth?
