Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare,has donated  towards the medical bills of Kumawood star Joseph Nana Osei Kofi popularly known as Wayoosi.

It follows an appeal from the Actors Guild Ashanti Regional branch, soliciting for finances through mobile money to settle the medical bills of the actor who has been indisposed and on admission for some time now.

The donation was done through the Ashanti regional Actors Guild.

News earlier this week went viral that the actor is reported dead but its President Bill Asamoah, in a statement issued on Wednesday admitted, the he was not well and currently receiving treatment at a health facility in the region.

He however called for donations from benevolent individuals and organizations towards settling the medical bills of the ailing actor who at press time was recuperating.

“Regional Executives of the Guild would like to emphatically state that, it has long embarked on that journey and that the only mobile money number provided for such is 0246 653 572 registered in the name of Mrs. KAREN DELA KUDAYAH our able Treasurer and into which various contributions has already been made towards our brother’s welfare. We thus would like to draw the attention of the general public and the industry players that, whatever steps that needs to be taken towards our brother’s welfare has been initiated already and that whoever attempts to do same,” he disclosed.
