An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Merley Afua Wood has struck out a case in which incumbent Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle Nii Armah Ashietey sought to challenge the eligibility of Dr Zanetor Rawlings as the Parliamentary Candidate elect for the area.

This comes after Nii Armah Ashietey threw in the towel a fortnight ago, withdrawing his lawsuit against his contender.

Nii Armah Ashietey has been in court since last year challenging the process and the eligibility of the winner of the NDC primary in the area.

The decision to stop the legal battles against Rawlings comes on the back of recent losses he suffered at the Supreme court over aspects of his case in court.

Kasapa FM Court Correspondent, Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman reported that though lawyer for Nii Armah Asheitey had discontinued the case, Counsel for Zanetor was not aware of the notice and went to court on Tuesday to pray the court to strike out the case.

The Judge, then acted on the plea and struck out the case.
