A KIA truck with the registration number AS -7691- 11 on Tuesday morning killed a boy by name Prince, in New Edubiase, Adansi South District in Ashanti region.
According to eye witnesses, the KIA truck was heading towards Cape Coast road from Presby Junction in Edubiase, when it developed a mechanical fault.
The vehicle is said to have failed its brakes and with the driver in a state of helplessness, then decided to veer of the road and headed straight into a carpentry shop crushing to death the deceased who was then walking behind the shop on his way to work.
Several others also sustained varied degrees of injuries following which they were taken to the hospital to receive treatment. The driver of the KIA truck is currently in police grips helping with investigations into the incident.
