The 45-year-old youth organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Oyarifa, who challenged president Mahama during the party’s presidential primaries, has announced his resignation from the NDC in the coming days to embrace the running mate position for an independent candidate in the Presidential contest slated for December this year.

“President Mahama should sit up we’ll face him squarely in the Presidential contest. I’ll turn in my resignation from the party soon to pave way for my collaboration with Jamial” Boateng told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM Monday.

George Boateng has accepted to be the running mate of Lawrence Jamial Kutin who is seeking to contest the 2016 general elections as an independent presidential candidate.

George Boateng said he’s aligned with the vision of his Presidential candidate, to help end the regime of the incumbent NDC government, although he has practically scaled down his position of his Presidential dreams.

The 41-year-old Electrician who hails from the Volta region recently picked forms to contest in the 2016 election.
