President John Dramani Mahama, on behalf of his family Monday, October 24, donated a Cheque of GHS 300,000 to the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The president handed the cheque after a meeting with officials of the centre.
The donation is part of proceeds from Mr Mahama’s late mother’s funeral, being offered by the family in support of the retooling of the centre.
Mahama’s late mother, Hajia Abiba Nnaba died on the 14th of June, 2016 and was buried the same day at Busunu in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region in line with Islamic tradition.
