Scores of church members of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, on Wednesday stormed the Police Headquaters in Accra to throw their support behind their leader and General Overseer, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah who had been invited by the Criminal Investigation Department.

The controversial Prophet was invited by the CID after he publicly stated that he had revelation that some politicians, including NPP members, were conniving to kill the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during his electioneering.owu1owu
He is also quoted to have said that: “On election day, there will be a lot of gunshots at NPP strongholds and many will sustain injuries, while others will lose their lives. The NPP must beware”.

The police viewed his utterances as worrying and extended an invitation to him to explain himself and assist them on how to investigate the matter, since he claimed it was a spiritual matter.

But his church members found it difficult to understand why the police had held their leader questioning the latter’s capacity to investigate the matter when they lacked the “spiritual eye” to appreciate the things the prophet was spoke about.

His lawyer Yaw Buabeng Asamoah told the media that his client had a healthy chat with the police, stressing that the prophet was never arrested as is being circulated by a section of the public.
