Scores of angry supporters of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) have stormed the party headquarters in Accra Tuesday morning, calling for the immediate resignation of the party’s National Chairman and General Secretary respectively, Bernard Mornah and Atik Mohammed.

The agitated youth are accusing the two party executives of being sycophants who contested the national positions for their personal aggrandizement, at the expense of the party.

They are also blaming the duo for the disqualification of the party’s Flagbearer from contesting the 2016 polls which is a little over a month away.

A former Parliamentary Candidate of the party for the Ayawaso North constituency in the 2012 election, Mohammed Jallo who spoke on the group’s behalf vowed to embark on series of activities that will make life uncomfortable for the executives until the resign honourably for the disgrace they’ve brought upon the party which has been part of every election held under the 4th Republic since 1992.

He further accused the Chairman of receiving logistics including cars in the name of the PNC from certain powerful individuals and donors but has not put it to the use of the party, a situation he contends is affecting the PNC’s campaign ahead of the December 7 election. Efforts to reach Mr Mornah to comment on the accusation has proven futile.

Mohammed Jallo urged the leadership to leave their position to allow persons who have the party at heart to take over and administer the PNC into the formidable party it has always been.
