First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ebo Barton Odro, has publicly expressed his intention not to seek re-election in 2016.
The astute lawyer did not state the rationale behind his decision but assured of his massive support to ensure that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) retains the seat.
Hon. Ebo Barton Odro, who is also the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North made the declaration over the weekend at the handing over ceremony of the Cape Coast Polytechnic branch of Tertiary Educational Institutions Network(TEIN) of the ruling National Democratic Congress.
The two- term MP, prior to entering Parliament was a private lawyer and Head of Chambers, Barton and Partners, Cape Coast.
He currently is the Chairman of the Appointment Committee of Parliament which does a good job at vetting ministerial nominees and other categories of public officials such as Supreme Court Judges.
