Dr Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Minister of Trade and Industry, says the new wind of change blowing across the business community calls for the consolidation of mergers with the corresponding acquisition of shares necessary to sustain deals.

He’s called on the business community to register their entities to qualify for assistance from government and financial institutions.

“Financial institutions are willing to give out assistance to individual businesses that have come together to form groups on concessionary rates and not individual companies,” he told a group of poultry farmers in Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Dr Spio – Garbrah was interacting with representatives of the Dormaa Poultry Farmers Association during a day’s working visit.
