Dancehall rivals Samini and Shatta Wale smoked the proverbial peace pipe on stage at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra over the weekend during the former’s SaminiFest concert.
It brings to an end a decade of ‘fighting’ over who is the Dancehall king in Ghana.
“Today the biggest thing is about to happen in Ghana. Peace is what we need going into the 2016 Elections and as a sign of unity my brother Shatta Wale is joining me on stage.” said Samini before he was joined on stage by Wale.
It was followed by the acts performing songs including diss songs by each other. They told the excited crowd about their upcoming projects – a collaboration and a tour.
