Former Health Minister under the erstwhile Kufour government, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie has won the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency parliamentary seat on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He beat incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Paul Evans Aidoo, who is also the Western Regional Minister.
Dr Kweku Afriyie went to the University of Ghana Medical School and later had his Master of Public Health (MPH) Studies at the Tulane University, New Orleans, U.S.A.
National Vice Chairman, former Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines and Minister of Health.
He’s a Physician Consultant, who operates his own clinic and he’s also the owner of plantations of cocoa; oil palm and cola.
