The Ghana Police Service is leaving nothing to chance as it has intensified security at the premises of the Electoral Commission (EC) Headquaters in Accra on Thursday, a day after the December 7 elections.ec-security-2Dozens of police personnel drawn from the Formed Police Unit (FPU),  amour vehicles and riot control vehicles,  have been stationed at the precincts of the EC offices to ensure that no acts of hooliganism occur at the venue to disturb the peace at that location which is considered a security zone.ec-security-2More than 16 hours after close of polls on Wednesday, the EC has remained quiet over the outcome of the election, much to the chagrin of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The police being proactive has ensured adequate security at the EC offices to ensure that any illegal moves by miscreants are halted to avoid marring the peace of the country.
