President John Mahama has urged Ghanaians to allow the Electoral Commission (EC) to discharge is constitutional mandate.

More than 48 hours after Ghana’s general elections held on December 7, officials results are yet to be announced by the Electoral Management Body.

However, results trickling in place the three-time presidential candidate of the NPP in a pole position, but the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) believe their candidate John Mahama is rather in the lead.

The NPP has called on the EC to declare their Flagbearer the winner of the election as per its own collation, President Mahama cannot overtake Akufo Addo’s lead.

But President Mahama in a Tweet, has called on the citizenry to exercise restraint, adding We’ll make Ghana proud no matter outcome.”
