Yakubu Tony Aidoo, an NDC communications officer in the Asawasi constituency, has threatened to lock up several party regional offices across the country in a revolt against National/Regional Executives who had disappointed  the party following the defeat in the 2016 elections.

He’s insisted the leadership of the party has not seen the last of such revolution as he intends to  mobilize his team from the Ashanti Region to the Central Region from where they will continue to the Greater Accra region.

In what seemed to be an upset over their big lose in many years, disgruntled foot soldiers of the party say the defeat was as a result of the sheer laziness of most of the executives and some appointees of the NDC government.

This disappointed by the disgruntled members of the party saw them locked up the Regional party office at Afful Nkwanta in Oforikrom to register their displeasure with the party leadership Tuesday.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Tony Aidoo said  the party’s leadership did not prosecute the 2016 campaign well which caused them the defeat.

“If they had done a good job, I bet you I Tony Aidoo even standing in contest with Nana Addo as the NDC’s Flagbearer in the Presidential race, I could have defeated Akufo-Addo. John Mahama is a fine material and the best candidate we had in the contest. I’m highly disappointed why they couldn’t market him well to bring the party victory in the 2016 elections.
