The Ghana Football Association has submitted their budget for 2017 Africa Cup of Nations to the Government.
The country’s football governing body presented a budget of $5.4 million for the continental competition.
The Black Stars of Ghana are currently preparing in UAE ahead of the tournament which will be held in Gabon.
According to Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the Ghana FA budget for the 2017 AFCON has been slashed.
“They [Ghana Football Association] presented a budget for the AFCON and it was $5.4 million but it is has been slashed” Hon. Nii Lantey told Kickgh.com in an interview.
“We have now approved a budget of $3.4 million for the tournament”
Ghana have been housed in Group D alongside Uganda, Egypt and Mali.
