Former National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Lord Commey will be Director of Operations at the Presidency, President-elect Nana Akufo Addo has announced.
He made the disclosure during an address at his residence today [Wednesday].
Nana Akufo Addo described Lord Commey as one of the NPP’s big stars who has done a lot of work for the party, being a major organizer and mobilizer of the NPP.
He indicated that Lord Commey will lead many of the political initiatives that will emanate from the presidency.
Lord Commey is a well known businessman, astute politician who is popular for his organization and operations acumen.
He has also served as Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the NPP. In 2012, Nana Akufo Addo appointed him as the Director of Operations of the NPP Presidential campaign.
In 2016, he worked at the office of Nana Akufo Addo as the person responsible for monitoring and seeing to the compliance of the various objectives of the campaign where he did an excellent job.
“I’ve found it very difficult going forward without him,” Nana Akufo Addo said.
