A gory accident on the Accra to Kumasi Highway has claimed the lives of two family members while two others sustained various degree of injuries .
The Accident occurred at Akyem Nsutem ,a community near Osino in the Eastern region along the Accra to kumasi highway .
The deceased have been identified as a 46 year old Alex Osei Bonsu, and Asante Richmond, 12 while the two victims have hospitalized at the Hawa Memorial Hospital in Akyem Osiem.
The family were believed to be travelling from Accra to attend a funeral when the accident occurred.
According to a witness, the Mitsubishi Pajero with Registeration number GS 4654-16 which the family was on board was speeding and ran into a stationary cargo vehicle with registeration number AS 9032-15 killing the two on the spot.
He said the car was mangled, a situation which made it difficult to evacuate the victims.
Police has launched investigation into the accident which happened on Friday.
