First Ghanaian instant noodles factory has been opened in the Greater Accra Region to produce yum-mie instant noodles for Ghanaians and beyond.

The Marketing and Sales Manager of Blow-Chem Industries Limited, Mr. Raj Mirpuri says their new factory unveiled to manufacture Yum-mie Instant noodles has come at a time where the unemployment rate in Ghana keeps increasing by the day.

Mr. Mirpuri speaking during the opening and exhibition of Yum-mie Instant Noodles manufacturing plant said Blow Chem Industries Limited has decided to take the high road of manufacturing instant noodles in Ghana instead of importing like its other counterparts.

 

He therefore indicated that with the establishment of yum-mie noodle factory in the Country, about five hundred (500) people are going to get direct jobs and will provide additional jobs to Ghanaians to curb the very worrying situation of unemployment.

He explained that there what makes yum-mie noodles different from others is the quality because Ghanaians deserve the best and yum-mie is made in Ghana product.

He said noodles is the easiest food you can prepare in the country and therefore have come out with 6 different flavours namely Chicken, Pepper-Chicken, Jollof flavor, Onion Chicken flavor, Pepper Beef and light soup pepper.
He called on the government to reduce taxes for Ghanaian owned businesses to motivate them to create more employment and also help them in the spirit of promoting an interest in Made in Ghana goods and services.

Activities marking the opening of the factory involved a media and educational tour organized for some pupils from selected schools in the capital, starting with SOS, Tema.

Mr. Mirpuri further cautioned the general public to be cautious of the kinds of noodles they purchase on the market and added that it is time Ghanaians enjoy made in Ghana foods since that will project locally produced foods on the international market.

He said Blow-Chem Industries Limited is ready for the competition but believes with the establishment of a factory in Ghana and providing quality food and services, they shall prevail.
