The Appointments Committee of parliament will begin vetting of regional ministerial nominees today Monday, 13 February.

Four nominees are billed to face the committee today, Monday, February 13, while the rest of the six will take their turns on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

The four nominees are Dr Kweku Afriyie – Western Region, Simon Osei Mensah – Ashanti Region, Eric Kwakye Darfour – Eastern Region, and Ishmael Ashitey – Greater Accra Region.

On Tuesday February 14, the committee will continue with six nominees including Dr Archibald Lesta – Volta Region, Alhassan Suleiman – Upper West Region, and Rockson Bukari – Upper East Region, followed by Kwaku Asoma Cheremeh – Brong Ahafo, Kwamena Duncan – Central, and Salifu Sa-eed – Northern Region, all on Wednesday February 15.

In all, 36 ministers of state, were vetted by the committee who have since been sworn into office by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
