A popular mortuary man who works with Tema General Hospital stormed Tema Community 9 Cemetery on Saturday February 11, 2016 to seize a dead body over an unpaid debt of GH ¢40 owed by the deceased family.
According to reports, the family of the deceased refused to pay the full amount to the mortuary man after he rendered services to them by dressing their corpse, but managed to smuggle the body at the blind side of him while he was busy dattending to other corpses.
The mortuary man in the company of a colleague, while the body was being interred, seized the coffin, open it, picked out the dressed corpse and started heading back to the mortuary.
His action shocked some family elders following which some friends of the bereaved family intervened and save the situation.
The deceased was later buried peacefully.
