A truck load of timber logs Tuesday afternoon dislodged and fell, after somersaulting on the Sofoline interchange destroying two cars in the process in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

Reports say the driver of the truck with registration number AS 9019-14 lost control after he tried to swerve a taxi cab which was using the outer lane.

Eye witness believed that the truck transporting the consignment of logs from Kwadaso to Kaase weighed more than necessary, and was travelling at top speed.

The accident recorded two casualties including the driver of the truck and his mate who are at the moment receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

This comes just in two weeks after a similar one involving a trailer carrying two 20 footer containers of sugar which toppled over the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange hitting a commercial vehicle in the process.
