The Upper East Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahama Adams, was last night attacked by two people who poured acid on him.
The two men attacked Adam at his residence at about 11pm.
Adam, who is in critical condition at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, may lose his left eye, friends and close relations fear.
The Upper East Regional Police PR, Thomas Agbenyo, told Anopa Kasapa host, Fiifi Banson, they’ve established it was an acid attack and investigations were underway.
