Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has been elected onto the Fifa Council for a second time.
He received the endorsement of delegates at the 39th General Assembly of the Confederation of African Football in Addis Ababa Thursday.
Nyantakyi received 33 votes, 13 more than his challenger Leodegar Tenga from Tanzania.
The respected African football executive who first secured the seat six months ago was voted again to the Fifa Council alongside Hani Rida (Egypt), Omari Selemani (DR Congo), Almamy Camara (Guinea) and Burundi’s Lydia Nsekera.
The new Fifa Council members from Africa have a four-year mandate, ending 2021.
