Chairman of the Executive Sub-committee of the Transitional Team, Nii Ayikoi Otoo has revealed that 234 government vehicles cannot be accounted for.

According to the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, the assets register was not handed over to the committee he chaired during the transition period.

He disclosed tat the Taskforce has successfully retrieved 67 government vehicles which were originally not listed by the Mahama Administration.

We’ve been able to identify 67 government vehicles not listed but we were able to identify them…that came to 67. We still have 234 vehicles that cannot be accounted for. So the figure that came from Mr Ayew’s Office that it is over 200 is correct and if they want me as the Chairman to confirm, I’m confirming, I’m saying that the figure is over 200.  If you take away the 67 that we ourselves identified out of the 301, the missing vehicles will be 234, and they are yet to be accounted for and this is from the list that they themselves supplied from the office of the President.”

Lawyer Ayoikoi Otoo added that the Taskforce set up to retrieve the vehicles will intensify their search.
