The victim of the Marwako assault, Evelyn Boakye has allegedly been admitted at the Psychiatric Department of the Korle Bu- Teaching Hospital.

A Family source told Accra-based Citi FM that Boakye, whose face was allegedly shoved in hot blended pepper on Wednesday,  March, 8, 2017 by an abusive supervisor, Jihad Chaaban, is said to have been showing suicidal tendencies.

She’s reportedly receiving treatment over the past few days for her condition.

However, she was admitted yesterday, when her condition worsen with serious abnormalities.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Supervisor of the Abelenkpe branch of Marwako restaurant, Jihad Chaaban, who allegedly subjected the Ghanaian worker to the abuse on Wednesday,  March, 8, 2017 has been granted bail in the sum of Gh¢20,000.

Chaaban, as part of his bail conditions, is expected to report at the Tesano district police station every Tuesday and Friday.

Presiding judge, Victoria Ghansah adjourned the case to March 20, 2017, to allow the victim, Evelyn Aboagye to be cross-examined.
