NPP candidate-elect for Tema West Constituency, Carlos Ahenkorah, has promised to ensure that nothing is taken away from Madam Irene Naa Torshie Addo, especially, the fame and power she wields in the party.

“I don’t particularly take delight in something that causes pain to another person. So, I would like to assure all of you, especially, my contestant Madam Irene Naa Torshie that she will be where she is to be in this party. As far as I sit on that throne, I will make sure that Naa Torshie doesn’t lose anything in terms of fame, power or posture as far as NPP Tema West is concerned,” Mr. Ahenkorah noted in his victory speech to thousands of followers who witnessed the NPP Tema West parliamentary polls on Saturday.

He added, “We are from one family and we don’t intend to fight among ourselves”.

Commenting further, he urged all the delegates and contestants to come up with plans and modalities to enable the party strategize well to retain the Tema West parliamentary seat and also help win the 2016 general elections.

Mr. Ahenkorah thanked the delegates and followers of the elephant family in the constituency and beyond for the confidence they have reposed in him, noting that he has gladly accepted the herculean task placed before him.

“It is not going to be an easy one but I will deliver,” he assured the teeming party followers who responded with a big applause.

Mr. Ahenkorah polled 502 votes to win the fiercely contested Tema West NPP parliamentary polls while his competitors, Irene Naa Torshie Addo and Adwoa Amoako polled 273 and two votes respectively.
