The Eastern Regional Police Command is yet to make any arrests 24 hrs after a group of heavily built men believed to be members of the pro-NPP group, Invisible forces stormed the premises of the Eastern Regional National Health Insurance Authority(NHIA) and locked up the office of the Regional Manager.
Although the Police assured of maximum security within the office premises, the scheme Manager’s office still remained locked when this website checked.
The group numbering about 20 and believed to be members of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Invisible Forces Monday morning attacked the Eastern Regional National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS), and in the process forcibly locked the office of the Regional Manager.
They claimed they cannot work with the Regional Manager whom they alleged is an outsider and not part of the NPP.
The Invisible Forces who stormed the office around 8:20 am requested for some documents from the staff and also demanded for the key to the office of the Regional Manager.
In an interview this morning, the Eastern Regional Police PRO, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh said the Police are still working to ensure maximum security at the place.
“This morning we were there, and the office still remain closed. The other offices are opened-There are behind the scenes moves to ensure that the place is opened as soon as possible. So as we speak now no arrests have been made. Now we are looking into the matter of closure
