Scores of party faithful of the opposition New Patriotic Party have besieged its headquarters in Accra, following the death of its Upper East regional chairman, Mahama Adams.

The Police have since moved in to bring the situation under control.

Adams was last night attacked by two people who poured acid on him.

The Upper East Regional Police PR, Thomas Agbanyoh, told Anopa Kasapa host, Fiifi Banson, they’ve established it was an acid attack and investigations were underway.

One person has been arrested. An initial fear of reprisal has  been dealt with as a joint Police and Military team are working to relocate the suspect.
