An Accra High Court will today, July 30 hear the motion for injunction brought against the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to suspend the parliamentary primary at the Korle Klottey constituency.

Counsel for the applicants, Egbert Faibille, was not in court, compelling the court presided over by Justice K. A. Ofori Atta to defer hearing to today.

He reportedly wrote to the court requesting for an adjournment because he was engaged with another case in Takoradi.

Meanwhile, Garry Nimako Marfo, counsel for the defendants, told the court, Mr Faibille had said he did not receive the processes filed by the second defendant in respect of the case.

The case was adjourned until today, July 30, 2015 for the applicant’s counsel to move the motion.

The Korle Klottey primary was suspended following an injunction on the process.

Lawyer Philip Addison, contesting Nii Noi Nortey, the party’s Korle Klottey chairman in the primaries had together with some aggrieved people in the constituency filed a motion to restrain the NPP from going ahead with the process last Saturday.

Nii Noi Nortey was alleged to have presented a fake University of Ghana certificate to the party’s Vetting Committee.
