Black Starlets captain Eric Ayiah has been signed by Portuguese heavyweight club FC Porto.

The 17-year-old talented forward, who had an explosive campaign with the west African country in the just ended 2017 AFCON tournament in Gabon, has been tied down by the former League Champions on a long-term contract.

Our highly reliable source close to the parent club of the teenager, Charity Stars, has disclosed to us that the budding talent will join the youth side of the European powerhouse after the impending Fifa U-17 Mundial slated for 6 to 28 October later this year.

The source added that FC Porto decided to capture the youngster at the early stage of his career just to ward off any interest from possible suitors when the tournament kick-starts.

”I can confirm to you that Eric Ayiah has been signed by FC Porto and will join them after the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India,”  the club’s insider told Kickgh.com

”FC Porto have agreed a contract deal with Charity FC for their youngster and were really happy to get him into their fold due to his talent in the game,”

”The deal is a long-term one and Ayiah would be joining their youth team where he would be expected to continue harnessing his talent till he gets into the first team,”

”FC Porto did’nt want any bidding war for his signature expecially knowing very well that he would by all means attract a lot of interest in the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament in India, hence the decision to sign him up-front,” he pointed out.

Eric Ayiah will today join his team-mates for camping ahead of their preparations of the World youth Mundial at the Prampram Ghanaman Centre of Soccer Excellence.
