The Net 2 Television journalist, Ashiley Yakubu, who perished through Saturday’s Atomic Junction gas explosion has been laid to rest, Tuesday, 10 October 2017.

Late Yakubu was buried today in line with Islamic custom.

The funeral for the late presidential correspondent was held at Kasoa Denkyira in the Central Region.

Mohammed Ashiley Yakubu who works with Net Two TV as a cameraman and doubles as a member of the Presidential Press Corps met his untimely death while covering the inferno from the flyover at Atomic Junction during the gas explosion Saturday.

Reports said he rolled over from the Atomic Junction flyover unto the ground at the second explosion in his attempt to capture the tragedy.

Ahead of the funeral today, President Akufo-Addo had promised to personally pay all expenses as far as the funeral is concerned.
