Accra Hearts of Oak Coach, Herbert Addo, has called into question the goal-poaching potency of the team’s strikers, insisting a lot of work has to be done on them.
In an interview with Kasapa Sports Wednesday, Addo, who has guided Hearts to the play-offs stages of the CAF Confederations Cup, says he is looking for the best possible means of building a solid forward.
“We are working on the strikers. We do that everyday; but like i have been saying scoring of goals isn’t the responsibility of strikers alone; defenders too can.
“There are teams strikers don’t score, they create for others to score. Unless we get a combination of very good strikers… currently our strikers, who are they.
“…Unless some people will come in and take over the goal scoring role instead of the strikers.”
Hearts will this weekend host Tunisia’s Esperance in a CAF Confederations Cup match return leg. The Phobians lost the first leg in Tunis 0:4.
