Residents of Mantukwa in the Sunyani West District of the Brong Ahafo Region are in ecstatic mood after a clinic was commissioned in the community over the weekend.
Accessing health care was a major headache for the residents of Mantukwa and its environs as they have to seek medical care in Sunyani.
To bridge this gap, BestCare Clinic and Mortuary Services has constructed a clinic for the community to provide a 24 hour healthcare for the people.
The Chief Executive Officer of Bestcare Clinic and Mortuary Services, Dr. Gabriel Sakyi Kwofie at the commissioning of the clinic said, “We decided to put up this clinic to bridge the gap because looking at the area up to Nsoatre there is no major clinic here.”
Dr. Kwofie also noted that the facility would be expanded to the level of a hospital in the future. He admonished the workers to take good care of the facility to help it achieve it intended purpose.
The Sunyani West District Chief Executive, Martin Obeng commended Bestcare Clinic and Mortuary Services for putting up the facility in the community.
Mr. Obeng noted that government would continue to partner with private organisations to provide healthcare delivery in the country. He urged the workers to treat well people who would come to the facility to seek medical care.
The Chief of Mantukwa, Nana Antwi Bosiako II who graced the occasion commended Dr. Kwofie for what he has done for the community.
Nana Boasiako II noted that the facility is going to provide immediate healthcare for his people who always have to rush to Sunyani to seek medical care.
