The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) today [Saturday], February, 24 stormed Somanya in the Eastern Region for the party’s Unity Walk led by Former President John Mahama.
Scores of loyalists and sympathizers of the party joined the former leader and leadership of the NDC party for the Walk, organized as part of NDC’s strategies towards reorganising its support base and to re-energise party faithfuls for agenda 2020 campaign.
Today’s event, the 5th in the series after similar exercises were held in the Northern, Greater Accra, Central and Western regions.
Already there have been backlash against party leadership by critics, who have insisted the event is only a campaign to market former President Mahama ahead of the 2020 agenda.
