The Communications Ministry has disclosed that IT firm KelniGVG has successfully installed its equipment at the data centres of all Telecommunications Companies working in the country.

The move has come as a surprise to many as the Telcos have been vehemently resisting the deal on several grounds including the possibility of breach of the privacy of their subscribers by a third party, KelniGVG.

A statement signed by Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu Ekufful said: “Physical installation of servers has been completed at various data centres of all the MNOs [Mobile Network Operators] and preparations towards testing and transmission are at various stages of completion.”
