Government has set up a 5-member Interim Management Committee to oversee the restructuring of Ghana Football.

The committee is to be chaired by Dr. Kofi Amoah and will have former Black Stars player Abedi Ayew Pele, and football legend Rev. Osei Kofi as Members among others.

Other members include Cudjoe Fianoo, to act as Secretary and sports journalist, Eva Okyere. Peace FM Sports Journalist, Dan Kwaku Yeboah is appointed as spokesperson for the committee, a Press Statement signed by the Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid said.

This decision to form an interim team to oversee an overhaul of the football governing body follows the announcement by government indicating its plans to dissolve the current Ghana Football Association.

Government’s resolve to restructure the GFA comes on the back of the  exposé undertaken by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas which was premiered in Accra on June 6.
