A political Scientist, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah says the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) current ‘Rise and Build’ tour it’s embarking on in the Volta region and other parts of the country will relatively overshadow the bad publicity the Danquah-Busia-Dombo Tradition has received over some months now.
He referred to the move by the party as the one that will tone down the controversial issues which had been heightened for the past days.
“Maybe they have not started the campaign in earnest, but this tour gives them inertia. Instead of being quiet, they’re doing something else,” he told Kwaku Owusu Agyei on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.3 FM Thursday.
The current team on tour with the flagbearer, is rumoured to be the core team that will mainly front the election 2016 campaign of the NPP, but Dr. Baah said the inclusion of the party’s Chair Afoko and its Chief scribe on this campaign trail would have largely demonstrated party unity.
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has begun a month long tour of the country ahead of his main campaign for the 2016 general elections.
The tour, dubbed ‘Rise and Build Tour,’ is aimed at providing a platform for Nana Akufo-Addo to meet up with regional executives, constituency executives, and aspirants in the NPP parliamentary primaries, [both winners and losers] in every region he visits.
