The 1993 Year Group of the University of Ghana, Legon, will this Saturday, July 14, 2018, hit the campus of the university in Accra in a Health Walk exercise aimed at keeping their bodies and minds in shape.

The exercise, which is expected to kick-off at 7:00 am, forms part of series of activities that have been lined up in commemoration of the group’s 25th Anniversary and Homecoming celebrations.

The other activities include a public lecture which is expected to be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Economics Department Conference Hall of the university and the Anniversary Dinner programmed to take place at the Accra City Hotel (Formerly Novotel) on July 28, 2018.

The group members are further expected to gather at the Legon Interdenominational Church by 9:00am on July 29, 2018, and give thanks to God for how far He has brought them.

Maggie Dee of the Office of Parliament, Parliament House, Accra, who is part of the 1993 Year Group of the prestigious university told this website that the measures they have put in place are good enough to attract all their members who are dotted around various parts of the world to come together and be part of the event.

The Chairman of the UG 93 Group, Prof. Robert Darko Osei, Vice Dean of the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Ghana, kasapafmonline.com understands, is hopeful that they will record about 97% turnout of the year group.

Some members of the year group expected to grace occasion include the Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh, MP for Ketu South and former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Fifi Kwetey, a deputy General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, and CEO of MTN, Ebenezer Asante.

The rest are former Minister for Justice and Attorney-General, Hon. Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, Hon. Kwame Anyimadu, Prof. Peter Quartey, Gyesiwa Ansah, Jean Mensah, Ato Coleman and Ama Bawuah of Newmont Ghana.
