Member of Parliament for the Zebilla constituency, Cletus Apul Avoka, has called on the people of the constituency to vote for him and give him a last chance in Parliament.

He also pleaded Ghanaians to retain incumbent parliamentarians since they were more experienced and could help Parliament formulate and enact good laws and policies to govern the country.

Mr Avoka made the call in Zebilla, when he picked a nomination form to contest with two others, Mr Simon Ayande Agbango, the Bawku West District Chief Executive (DCE) and Alhaji Adams Imoro Anaba, former DCE of the District, at the primaries.

He noted that parliament needed experienced hands and informed people to deal with issues pertaining to the development of the country.

He noted that about ninety five per cent of government work passed through parliament before being executed and so there was the need to keep the incumbent MPs in office since they were abreast with issues of the house and the country as a whole.

Mr Avoka said keeping him in parliament would allow him to continue the ongoing rural electrification project, which he had started, to ensure that the area is linked to the national grid, adding that access to electricity would promote many socio-economic activities, including education, health, trading and general social life among others.
