Fifteen Egyptian doctors have arrived in Ghana courtesy the Egyptian Agency of Partnership Development of the Arab Republic of Egypt to support health care delivery.

The medical officers who touched down on Saturday, September 5, 2015 on the request of the Ministry of Health are expected to commence work in two weeks. Additional fifteen more doctors will join their colleagues here at a date yet to be established.

The team comprises: three Surgical Consultants, two Dentists, a Dentist Specialist, Orthopedist, Urologist, Pulmonologist, gynaecologist, two Internal Medicine Consultants, Microbiologist and a Cardiologist.

A release by the Ministry of Health said the doctors will be complementing the efforts of their Ghanaian counterparts and will be distributed across the country to provide the needed care to Ghanaians.

This support by the Arab Republic of Egypt is strengthening the already existing bilateral relation between Ghana and Egypt.
