“The pupils’ Aid” project has successfully laid its footing when it begun its first distribution in the Sissala West District in the Upper West region on 19th September 2018. “

The pupils’ Aid” is a collaboration between Global Aid for the Marginalized Ghana and the Abraham Attah Foundation (founded by the Ghanaian born Hollywood Actor, Abraham Attah) to distribute school uniforms for vulnerable pupils in Ghana.

The project is purposed to empower pupils in the deprived public schools in Ghana with the distribution of free school uniforms, bags, belts and shoes to these vulnerable ones to better position them to compete with the advantaged.

The Project Director, Mr. Francis Botchwey assured that the project will distribute school uniforms, bags, belts, and shoes for vulnerable pupils’.

“The pupils Aids project is seeking to distribute thousands of school uniforms, bags, belts, and shoes for pupils’ who are always adorned in tattered uniforms in order for them to compete with the advantaged”. Mr. Botchwey said.

Mr Mawuko Kuadzi, the Manager of Abraham Attah Foundation called on individuals, organizations, agencies, churches and many others to come on board to join forces with the foundation to rescue these vulnerable pupils.

The Head Teacher, Mr. Achu Kwesi also commended that, the project will decrease absenteeism. “Gone are the days when pupils absent themselves from school because of tattered uniforms. With these smile on their faces each one would wish to wear his or her uniform to school every day”

“We are much grateful unto you for remembering us. It is never the will of any parents to see his or her child in tattered uniforms but it’s the situation here that has called for this”
The SMC chairman Mr. Issahaka Jauwie Tornia said.

The second outreach of the project will take place in November 2018.
