About 120 Zoomlion workers in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region have threatened to law down their tools over unpaid salary.

According to them they have been working for the past seven months without pay, adding that all efforts to compel the company to pay them have proved futile.

Today October 9, 2018, the angry workers stormed Ejisu Zoomlion office to demand for the unpaid salary.

Some of the workers speaking to newsmen said they have been struggling to feed their families and themselves.

According to them, they have received several assurances from Management of Zoomlion but still they concerns have not been addressed.

“We cannot continue the work with empty stomach. Just 100 cedis for a month you can’t pay us but the management expects us to do the work everyday. Things are really hard for us. We are urging the management of Zoomlion to as matter of urgency pay us the arrears or face our wrath” they said.

The workers however called on government to come to their aid by forcing management of Zoomlion to increase their salary.
