Many have complained about how there is no unity among Ghanaian gospel artistes and how it is difficult to get a colleague gospel artiste to help promote each others talents.

In a recent interview with Ramzy Amui on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM, hosted by Kojo Preko Dankwa, the First runner-up for the Stars of the Future music reality show was totally disappointed with his fellow gospel artistes.

Stating his reason, the talented musician, who saw his dream cut short abruptly in 2007 after he was wrongly jailed for ten years said he quit doing secular music and ventured into gospel since that was the reason he is being through the hard times.

He released a new gospel song titled ‘Ek3mi y3‘ (He is with me), telling why God is still with him and shared it to notable gospel artistes to comment and also share to help promote the song.

Ramzy indicated that he was surprised no gospel artistes shared or commented on his new song but another colleague artiste doing dancehall, Shatta Wale tweeted his new song.

His frustration with regards to reasons best known to those gospel artistes for refusing to help him promote same message they (Gospel artistes) are sending out to the world through their song.

Several stakeholders in the gospel fraternity have claimed the reason why the gospel industry is facing setbacks is disunity as compared to those doing secular music.

“Gospel artistes should show love to each other. You’re supposed to see musicians in the gospel terrain love themselves and do things together. I sent my new single ‘Ek3mi y3’ to most of the notable gospel artistes and none of them bothered to even comment but I was amazed when someone called me to tell me Shatta Wale tweeted the song with the inscription ‘What a nice gospel song from our brother’ and about two thousand people had watched the video.

“Shatta Wale was the first artiste to tweet my song but no gospel artiste did. We gospel artiste should know that we are doing this for Christ.” Ramzy told Kojo Preko Dankwa

His first single, Asomdwee, a spirit-filled song which talked about his life as a prisoner was released after joining Royalty Music owned by award-winning gospel artiste, Ohemaa Mercy and her husband.

Ramzy Amui’s new song, ‘Ek3mi Y3’ which was produced by Zapp Mallet is an inspirational piece. The video was shot and edited by Turn-A-Key production.

His latest song talks about how God has been with him through thicj and thin never forsaken..
