One person has been confirmed dead while 6 cars have been totally burnt in a massive gas explosion at Prime Gas filling station in Krofrom a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday morning when staff of the gas filling station were conducting maintenance works on the main cylinder.
In the process, the gas is said to have leaked from the cylinder and sparked fire to a nearby refuse dump, which further spread destroying other properties.
Personnel of the Ghana Fire Service have arrived at the scene to douse the fire and prevent further damage to properties and lives.
