A group known as Volta Intervention Movement (VIM) wants the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament and MP for Ketu North to be made the running mate for whoever emerges the Flagbearer of the opposition NDC party in its upcoming election for the 2020 elections.
Arguments for the selection of a Voltarian to become the running mate, has gained grounds following the exclusion of Voltarians from the top echelon executives of the NDC, a situation some political watchers describe as dangerous for the party, considering the fact that the Volta Region is the party’s stronghold.
“Volta Intervention Movement (VIM) believes Hon. Avedzi will make the perfect choice of a running mate as he’s competent, impeccable and has unimpeachable conscience critical for the development of the country.
“Currently what the NDC needs is a running mate of the NDC 2020 who must be grounded in the economy and must also be younger than the presidential candidate this he has .And Hon James Avedzi Klutse we believe is the best of all other Vice Presidential candidates in the country.
“When it comes to choosing a great mate, whether in politics or business, the essentials extend well beyond charisma, connections and political leverage. The fundamental elements are trust, loyalty and complementary skills and qualities.” The group said in a statement.
It added that “Vice Presidential picks should always share the substantive President’s values and vision. As a Member of Parliament has Hon James Avedzi Klutse proven he a humble leader who has exhibited that his humility knows no bounds.
“What the people of Ghana are looking for is a humble selfless, truly confident intelligent, non-corrupt God-fearing Vice President who is working and focused. His strong record on ethics and government integrity cannot be questioned in Ghana.
“For me, Hon James Avedzi Klutse is a father, public servant, and party man, has an impeccable, unimpeachable conscience – a clear vision of what the future should look like for the Mahama administration.”

Since NDC seems to know its Presidential candidate, reactions on which he is going to pick as his running mate in order to oust the current government have flooded the social media.
(VIM) Volta Intervention Movement believes that the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament Hon James Avedzi Klutse should recommended for the position of a Running Mate in the NDC.Since he has the equal political strength to compliment the efforts of the party’s Flagbearer to oust with the incumbent NPP government in 2020.

Who really is Hon James Avedzi Klutse?
Hon James Avedzi Klutse is the MP for the Ketu North Constituency in the Volta Region the World bank of the Great NDC Party in the Minority. And is the Deputy Minority leader in Ghana’s August House. He was born on July 14; 1964.and is from Xipe in the Volta Region
He’s a Consultant. He holds a PhD (International and Political Finance), UNEM, Costa rica, 2015, MBA (Finance and Accounting), University of Liverpool, UK, 2016, Chartered inst. of Taxation- Ghana,2013, CA (Ghana), 2001.
He’s worked as a Principal Accountant, Controller and Accountant Generals Dpt.Accra, MP (January 2005
TO DATE- 4TH term). Married (with four children and is a Christian.
The greatest among his amiable qualities is his humbleness and meekness. This man is indeed a mentor of all who wish to attain greatness.
Hon James Avedzi Klutse has proven to Ghanaians that politics can be played without rivalry and enmity. This he has proven by responding to critics of the government by educating them on issues. His reactions to every national emergency issue is unparalleled.
Having come close to him many times, Hon James Avedzi Klutse demonstrates that the days of sectional and mediocre politics within the NDC and at the national level is over. “It is time we put things right, it is time to chart a new course” would sum up his creed.

Currently the NDC does not need a magic Wand to know who will lead the NDC in 2020 but , the single question on the lips of many Ghanaians is "who will be his running mate?
As a tried and tested politician Hon James Avedzi Klutse should be considered to ‘pacify’ the Volta which has been marginalized by the Nana Addo administration with the increased political consciousness among the electorates, JMs choice of a running mate can either mean a return to power for the NDC 2020 or victory for the incumbent, President Nana Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2020.

Hon James Avedzi Klutse is reputed to put in place a blueprint for the effective running of Parliaments as the Chairman of public accounts committee and an anti- corruption campaigner cum Crusader As a Vice president, Hon James Avedzi Klutse will not be a figurehead.
He will chair the economic team and he has the necessary experience for the job a man who has introduced more transparency in
whatever he does.
He will help to improve Ghana’s ’s macro-economic management and helped to reduce macro- economic volatility. And also help in increasing transparency in governance.
I am in no doubt he’s chosen as a very positive and welcome addition to our campaign and we look forward to working with him as they choose to our campaign to victory in February 2020.
Under the chairmanship of Mr James Avedzi, is another milestone in ensuring sanity in the management of public finances. However, wouldn’t such effort be a wild goose chase if it registered corruptible findings, yet, taxpayers do not hear of any sanctions to wrongdoings?
As the proceeding of the committee is aired, it is equally significant that any sanctions to wrongdoings is aired. That may give some level of hope to the taxpayer whose money is being misappropriated.
When the taxpayer hears the misappropriation on the airwaves and do not hear any sanctions they begin to clamour and lose hope in the leadership of the country. James Klutse Avedzi will serve the NPP a quit order in 2020.
