President Nana Akufo-Addo says his administration has set the country’s economy on a right path for growth in 2019 urging Ghanaians to join hands with his government in building the progressive and prosperous nation for all.
In his Christmas message to the nation, President Akufo-Addo said:”The birth of Christ for me continues to be the story of hope and triumph in the midst of adversity and uncertainty. As Ghanaians Christmas should reinforce in us the believe that we can make it if we put our shoulders to the wheel no matter our circumstances.
“Having inherited a bad situation, I know we are not where we ought to be, but the one thing of which i’m confident is that the signs of a better and brighter tomorrow are very clear. Our achievements in office so far eventhough modest, has been appreciable, visible and forward to see and we’ve laid a strong foundation for future prosperity.”
He however charged Ghanaians, especially Christians, to be a blessing to the needy and destitute as they celebrate Christmas today, Tuesday, 25 December 2018.
“Let us celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ safely and responsibly and avoid doing that which will put our lives and the lives of our loved ones and others in harm’s way. Let us be a blessing on the lives of those in need and through our actions bring good cheer and glad tidings of great joy to all. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous happy new year”.
