The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Oquaye has allegedly shot down a request by the Police to pick up Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong in connection with the death of slain Investigative Journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

According to Starr FM’s Parliamentary correspondent, Ibrahim Alhassan, the Speaker has rather invited the investigators to Parliament on Thursday to interrogate the MP following their correspondence to have Agyapong interrogated.

Hussein-Suale who’s an associate of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas was killed on Wednesday, January 16, by some unknown assailants on his way home.

He was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck, dying instantly, according to the police.

The firebrand MP has been blamed for the killing of Ahmed after he unmasked the real identity of the Private Investigative Journalist on national Television before his killing.

But Mr. Agyapong has since dismissed allegations that he should be held responsible for the death of Ahmed.
