The six newly created District Assemblies will today, February, 19, 2019 be inaugurated simultaneously as part of government’s bid to enhance decentralization for effective development.
The Assemblies are the Korle Klottey with the capital Osu, Ablekuma Central with the capital at Laterbiokorshie, Ayawaso Central Assembly, with Kokomlemle as its capital.
The rest are Akyease Assembly with Akyease as the capital, Anloga district with Anloga as capital and the North East Gonja Assembly with Kpalime as its capital.
A number of Ministers of State have been designated to conduct the inaugural ceremony on behalf of the President.
