The third edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards – ERMEA to be launched in Koforidua in the Eastern Region
The launched which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at the Linda Dor Plaza in Koforidua at 9 AM is expected to attract media persons and journalists, stakeholders, musicians, corporate bodies and the general public.
The Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards is an eventPlusGh initiative which aims at presenting a credible, well-judged and transparent programme that promotes excellence in media broadcasting.
It is about rewarding individuals and organizations who combine talent, hard work and skill to ensure that their listeners are compelled.
This third edition of the ERMEA is aimed at bridging the gap between the media and their audience for societal growth and development.
The launch will also be used to hold a seminar in conjunction with the Arts and Tourism Writers of Ghana – ATWAG for the media and individual present on the topics;
- Arts and Tourism Journalism: An Integral Part of the Media landscape
- Media Personality and Content in Influencing Society
In a Press Release, the organizers have envisaged that the third edition will serve as a tool to connect the media to its Audience and to identify, acknowledge, inspire, support and promote media excellence in the Eastern Region.
The event is also aimed at recognizing and acknowledging media practitioners who have demonstrated high standards in their works and to challenge journalists to achieve the highest standards of ethics in the profession and practice of journalism.
